I’m obsessed with trying new techniques or deconstructing and rebuilding time honored methods. Color, texture and depth are the fundamentals of any piece that I make. My inspiration is the undeniable beauty of the world around me: seasonal plants in our pasture, the sea, wildlife, and the many moods of the sky. 

Kiln Fused Glass

Kiln fusing is an ancient technique of designing glass and fusing it in a kiln to temperatures reaching 1700 degrees. Each kiln firing can take up to 24 hours and most pieces require 3 - 4 separate firings to achieve color, texture and shape.
